What is the best web host?
Question: I am currently making a personal website to showcase a range of short films that I have produced as well as a number of After Effects that I can do which means that I will need a large amount of storage for a web host. I am looking to upload my site, which I made on iWeb, onto the internet on a new domain name for 1 year. I do not want to pay for more than one year because I have never done this before and would like to try it out first. I am wanting the cheapest web host as well as someone who can provide me with the cheapest or free domain name as part of their package. I have looked at some which are around £2 per month but they say in their small print that they will charge extra if I add large files, such as media files, which I will be doing. So I cannot use those web hosts. I have also seen some cheap deals but they are cheap because you have to sign up with them for 3 years, which I do not want to do. I only want to sign up for 1 year. I would also prefer a .com domain name and also for free support within the UK. I only want one domain name, but don’t mind having two if it isn’t that much more expensive. I don’t want any adds on my site. Money back guarantee would be nice but not at all essential. Basically I need and unlimited diskspace and bandwidth and a contract that lasts no longer than a year. And when I say unlimited, I mean unlimited and not a host that will charge more or freeze the site if it goes over a certain limit. Thank you for your time and effort.

Has everything Godaddy has but better statistics tracking
A decent web host only costs around 5 bucks a month (even less if you prepay for a year). If you ask around, Hostgator is pretty much the most popular and reliable web host you can find these days (it used to be Dreamhost, but that’s a long story). But whatever you do, make sure you stay away from Godaddy and Bluehost. Especially, Bluehost, they apparently censor a lot of their web sites…they’re owned by super-religious people or something.
